Hello all -

I just picked up a NEC 3500A and now I need to get some media for it. The only problem is I have no idea whether to get the plus format or the minus.

Apparently minus works with more things but is less reliable than plus?!

Does anybody have anything more concrete, I can't seem to find anything.

Thanks a lot.

With the NEC 3500A, flash with this firmware, use DVD+R media and burn with Nero. The booktype will change to DVD-ROM, and it'll be more compatible than both DVD+R or -R.

yes, but I've done lots of testing with especially movies.
seems concerning older dvd players, older dvd-roms, playstation2's minus was almost 100% compatible

but for personal use plus is a better architecture against aging/scratchs etc.
