anyone got a make model that just rocks? Plz let me know. I'm more interested in hearing about peoples experience than browsing consumer reports crap.

I did a post a bit ago on an MP3 player recommendation, and got some good results! I'm fishin' again...

How much are you looking to spend? I think the Pioneer DV333 is a pretty good entry level model, goes for $220 or so at my local Costco. It reads CDRs, DVDs, VCDs, etc. has component out and an excellent picture. I have the older model of this player (the DV-525) and it has worked well for me.

I got the Apex AD-703. It is a 3 disc changer that plays MP3 CDRs. It was only $229.00

I got the Apex 703 also and its pretty good. 3 disc and plays mp3s. And it has a built in karoke mixer with 2 mic input. Not bad for the price.

I have the Apex 600a, I really like it, it plays CD-R's decodes MP3's and is very leanient on scratched cds. heres a pretty good site for them http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.htm

I like my RCA 5220P. I got it cheap last year. $145 thanks to Office Depot's clearance on them after I bought one from Wards. The manager couldn't do the extra 10% guarantee but I was just happy with the price matching.
