dvd player recommendations?

I'm looking for a good quality DVD player that has optical & digit. coax connections, progressive scanning and is either region free or can be easily made region free. Any recommendations? Willing to spend around $100-200
 
I just got an Panasonic s77 but not sure on making it region free. The other top $200-ish dvd player seemed to be the oppo 971 but only when the output is digital (DVI or HDMI).

Yeah, I totally would have gotten it except is seems it only shines when you're using the digital video connections and not component which I'm using.
