DVD player question

Muse

Lifer
My brother tells me he got his DVD player from his cable TV/internet provider, Cox. I told him the remote would certainly have a button to turn subtitles on and off and he thinks it doesn't. Who's right here? TIA.

Sometimes it is in the options menu.

Some DVDs come with a small asian woman who stands beside the TV and translates.

(although, i gotta admit, it was hard to find an example that did not include a subtitle button)

Well, that one has button 16 labeled Title. I assume that's subtitles?

No, title is usually the title menu
Oh, right. Thanks.

How dumb to have a DVD remote without access to subtitles. Just ridiculous.
