I posted the question at the end of another's post, but thought I'd throw it in it's own.
I'm not sure if it's just the upconverting DVD players, but in Newegg reviews and
in the LG-DN191H that I bought (and am now returning) people mentioned the
"pausing" when playing backup dvds. Is this a common problem among these
types of dvd players? I ask because I just got my first HDTV over the weekend and
also got the LG player hooked up via HDMI.
All my original movies seemed to play fine but any of the backups that I have made
for the kids and myself have that pausing problem every few minutes. I don't think
it's the disc, since they play fine when I hook my old cheapo Apex back up and run it
on that. I'd stick w/ the Apex, but I loved the clarity of the upconverting player. It
was like being in the theater.
Did I happen to get a bad player, or are they all like this?
