I've been using a panasonic SA-HT940 home theater system to play dvds. When the dvd opens I use my finger to drag the dvds in a circular motion so that I can rotate the dvds. Dumb I know but I didn't notice the 'dvd skip' until after I noticed that the system spins several times before it can read a dvd, and won't close when I press the open/close button. Which means that the system can't read the dvd and I can't watch movies.
What I'm wondering is if there's any suggestions on fixing it without a trip to some vcr repair place (ideally), and if it doesn't work where I should prob go.
I'm guessing that the system is outdated or out of stock because the top hits were ebay auctions:

Thanks for your help
*Update* Since I figured the dvds weren't rotating to be in sync with the reading laser, I took out 2 dvds including 1 that was supposed to be read, and suprisingly I was able to close it. So it works now.
