I have what could be considered a decent system, but whenever I try to play any DVD, the color and picture are off/distorted (grainy picture). Does anybody have any idea what could be the problem? This is my system:
Althon XP 3000+ (400MHz FSB)
1 GB RAM (Hyper X operating with Dual Channel Enabled)
Gibabyte GA-7N400-L1 M/B (400Mhz FSB, dual channel, etc)
FX-5700 Ultra 128MB
Lite On DVD Player
HP CD Writer
Viewsonic 19" Monitor
All of my 3DMark scores are comperable to people with similar PC's. I have no problems at all with the more demanding games (UT2K4 Demo, UT2K3, Deus Ex Invisible War, Call of Duty). Video drivers are up to date.
Oh yeah, I have tried several players (Interactual, Windows Media Player, NVDVD 2.0) - each of them show the same problem, I guess it might be accurate to say the picture looks as though I tried to oversize (ya know when the picture becomes fuzzy), but I've made sure that each player's view is as small as it'll allow me to take it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
