DVD movie doesn't start up...?

I successfully ripped a DVD movie using DVDecryptor, then got rid of the extra stuff using IFOEdit and was able to watch it on the hard drive. So once the movie was isolated I burned it to a blank DVD using Nero, and all that went well, no errors or anything.

But when I pop the dvd into my dvd-rom (or rather that of my pc-illiterate chum; I myself LOVE extras and wouldn't be happy with this procedure) nothing happens, the movie doesn't start up.
Did I do something wrong or is there a final step that I missed? Any help would be much appreciated (since I wanna go home already)....thanks!
 
Did you follow the guides at Doom9?

Since your not really specific about each step you did with DVD decryptor and IfoEdit, nobody could really help you.
 
I've tried the DVD Decryptor program - the most reliable DVD ripper ever from my experience.

However I have not yet managed to make one single VCD/SVCD disk from any ripped image.


The amount of time I have spent fiddling around with all this stuff I might as well buy another copy of the movie 😉

This is not the fault of DVD Decryptor - I've tried DVD2VCD, DVDx etc etc - all seem to fail on an otherwise flawlessly stable system 🙁
