So my dad just gave me a flyer from one of his friends who is supporting this. I have no idea how it works and I knew someone here had to of heard of it.

Is this something that offers you to gain money by publicizing their company?
 
Scam. No way you'll be able to compete against not only real DVD sellers (DeepDiscount, Amazon, DVDPlanet DVD Empire) but also other Monster MLM victims in the pyramid.
 
Legal pyramid scam, "multi-level marketing." Because there is a worthless product being sold it isn't illegal like a pure pyramid scheme. Google both terms for more info.
