DVD is acting weird - explorer reports files as being 0 bytes, WinDVD won't play it (but i can rip it)

I bought this DVD on ebay, a thing I would rarely do. But this was a rare import DVD supposedly from Brazil, with Queen's concert at Wembley '86 that I just had to have. I got it quickly via the mail, but I have some problems:

* Explorer reports all files on it to be 0 bytes. Same results in a DOS window.
* WinDVD won't play it, it just doesn't start. Media Player Classic starts a window with the correct length it seems, but it never starts playing.

The strange thing is that I can rip it with DVDDecrypter, and play the .vob files perfectly (although some sectors seem to be corrupt :(). What could cause the above mentioned problems? I know it's partly my own fault for buying something that came out of Brazil on ebay, but it was wrapped and seemed to be fairly professionally printed, barring some spelling errors on the cover. The guy selling it to me had 10 of them and seemed honest (he shipped it very quickly and replied to all mails).

Thanks.

I can't say I have any ideas about the file size, but if it's not playing, I'm going to take a guess that it's region-coded, and won't play as a result.

nah that isn't the problem, it's multi-region and this isn't normal. thanks though.
