DVD is 7.64GB?!

I'm trying to back my copy of Chronicles of Riddick up, but my computer tells me that the disk is 7.64GB, and it won't fit on a standard DVD-R disk. How can I make a backup copy of my DVD?

dvd Shrink
dvd decrypter

Try just using dvd shrink, it works in 98% of all situations, this will compress the dvd file below 4.7 GB so you can make a copy on a single layer dvd.

With DVDshrink, you can also Re-Author the disk so that you copy only the movie itself over, with no menu's, extras, previews and other garbage they pack on these days. That's how i like it, simple, and best quality picture 🙂

This is the way to go. Even though you only copy the movie it still may be too big. What dvdshrink a many other dvd burning software will do is compress it until it fits on a 4.7gb disk. Normally it may just need to compress it a small amount when just copying the movie so you don't lose much quality. Then burn the iso file it creates with dvd decrypter. Go to www.videohelp.com for help on dvd burning.

DVDShrink does it all, no need to use another app to burn it to 4.3G dvd disk. Re-authoring is best if you want to preserve as much quality as possible as mentioned previously.
