Does anyone have an easy way to get short clips from DVDs into Powerpoint? They method I was going to use is to burn them in Dr. Divx and find some editing software and just splice out the clip I need. I hate to burn an entire DVD though just for a 5-10 second clip, plus I need to do this for multiple movies.

Also does anyone have any suggestions to what software I should use to edit. Microsofts is alright but I'm not sure how to turn it into avi or mpeg.

You could convert one of the vobs to mpeg and then cut that to suit your needs.

vobs are mpgs. all you have to do is rename.

You want small clips. So decript the VOB(s) containing the clips you want to your computer and use either dvd2avi, tmpgenc, or any other editor to cut a clip out of it. If the size is too large, you may want to reencode the clip or change the dimensions of the video.
