DVD Help on MSI Pro2a

I'm working on a new build(MSI pro2a, 900 mhz athlon (tbird), 256 mb pc133, Maxtor 20gb 7200rpm, 10x DVD, HP CDRW, Elsa GEforce 2mx, on board sound). All drivers and software are installed. I'm having trouble with the DVD - when I try to play a DVD, it either runs really slow and choppy or locks up all together. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!!

John

Go into control panel - system - dvd drive properties and make sure DMA is enabled. I had the same problem, this fixed the choppy playback but my DVD still lock up after a while. I then changed my AGP in the BIOS from 4X to 2X and this fixed my problem.
