I'm looking to buy a new DVD ROM drive, and I noticed that there's alot of different DVD formats. All I want it for is watching some DVD movies and playing some newer pc games that are coming out on DVD nowadays. What format is this, and will pretty much all drives support these?

Also, I've been partial to Lite-On CD-ROM drives in the past, but I noticed that Samsung's access time is 30 ms lower :frown: Does this play a part while the DVD is running, or just when starting it up? Thanks
 
pretty much all drive you can buy will fine

Access time... if you are watching movies, i don't think the it will matter
for games, you will probably load better due to better acces time, but not really noticeable in real life IMO
