I just ripped a dvd to my hard drive wtih DVD shrink, but i can't for the life of me find a program to convert the files into an .avi or .mpeg. I've heard Nero Recode and something like PDXE but i can't find these near me. Any other programs to do this, free would be a plus to the max

www.videohelp.com will show you how to do it, although personally I've only had limited success doing this. Specifically, I tried to convert a clip from a DVD into an mpg.

Fairuse 1.0 is an amazing free piece of software! You just need the Xvid codec to encode. highly recommended!
