Hello all. I've been successfull recently selling a certain product on eBay, enough so that it takes too much time to burn the DVD's myself. The problem is the collection is 10GB, and pressed DVD's are 9.6GB. I need to shave some off - but I am not sure how much to shave. My questions :
1. What is the exact size, in bytes, that a DVD-9 can hold?
2. The collection is 60K files, i.e. there is a ton of filesystem overhead. Does anyone know how I can go about calculating this? More specifically . . .
2b. Does the figure in (1) include the filesystem index tables? and . . .
2c. I am assuming that the filesystem on DVD-R's uses clusters - anyone know how big (or how small) these are - and how it effects (2b)?
Google really isn't helping here because I cannot get specific enough information. Can anyone around here help?
