All DVD-ROM drives should be able to read from the various DVD media, but in reality few of 'em do. I'd suggest buying a drive from a good manufacturer, such as the Plextor or Sony drives on this page.

I have a no-name DVD-ROM drive that reads everything. I am going to go out on a limb and say that any recently manufacturered drive will read most, if not all, common current formats, including movies, which all should do without a problem.

Like I said, any recently manufactured DVD-ROM drive (read: any sold at Newegg) will be able to read every current format. They are probably not listed because it is not necessary to list them. I am going to stop just short of guaranteeing you that any DVD-ROM drive you buy will read your media. I won't guarantee you 100% because there is that 0.5% to 1% chance you get some silly drive that just won't cooperate.
