I am running WinXP Pro, and my DVD drive seems to be stuck shut. I push the button on the drive or right click on the drive in My Computer and press eject, the light on the drive lights up, but the drive stays shut. I have a gigabyte K8NS Pro, 1gb RAM, Athlon64 3400+, WinXP Pro SP2.
How can i get it to open?
thanks

There should be a little pinhole somewhere on the face plate of the DVD drive. You can unbend a paperclip and stick it in the pinhole to do a manual eject. It make take a little force, but it'll come out.

did u also try opening via My Computer?

right click your CD Drive under My Computer and click "Eject"

if that doesn't work, the paper clip thing works the best.

Use the pinhole (with power off.) Sounds like a disk might be slightly out of the "well" can causing it to mechanically bind.
