DVD Drive SATA questions

I am going to purchase a new DVD drive soon, and wanted to buy a SATA model to cut down on cable clutter. Will this create any problems with my HDD if i use the same SATA controller, or does the mobo even care (It's and intel d945gnt)?
 
I've never heard of an SATA optical drive causing any problems. I'm using one in all three of my systems, and haven't had any problems. Of course, the only way to find out for sure is to try it out on your system, but I wouldn't expect any problems.
