DVD Drive problem

Hello guys. I've been having this problem lately...

I have a nice LiteON DVD/RW drivethat I bought about 2 years ago. It's a great device and it's very fast. However the tray started getting stuck lately on the way out. Sometimes it wont open at all, and sometimes, it'll come out just a bit with the CD lifted up and stuck inside. When I try to grab the tray and force pull it openm, I end up scratching the media which is extremely aggrevating.

What do you think is wrong with it? Shall I open up the PC pull the drive out and try to see what's up? or there's other solutions?

I dont see the drive "dying" cause it works perfectly when the media is inside.

Same thing recently happened to my 5 disc cd changer. Had it for about 17 years and was surprised it even lasted that long. Anyway, I took it apart, used some WD40 on the gears and gear motor, all is working fine again. If you can take your drive apart without damage, you may just need some lube on the gear motor or gears.
