DVD drive and player to go with Audigy/Z-560??

Mainly wondering what player I should use to make the best of the sound I have(dont have 5.1 but have 4.1 Z-560)

I saw a sony drive that had powerDVD (not sure what version)...are there any quality/speed/noise problems with sony drives?

I have a what I guess is 3.2 version of WinDVD that came with GF4

Are there any particular versions of WinDVD or PowerDVD so that it will use the 4.1 system as it's intended?

System if matters:
P4 2.85
Geforce4 128
SB Audigy gamer
Logitech Z-560 4.1 speakers
