DVD Dual Layer Rewritable?? Does such a thing exist? Is it possible? 9.4GB of rewritable space would be awesome! Basically I'm interested in the largest amount of rewritable CD/DVD-like storage space: what is currently available?

I thought DLs were 8.5GB, not 9.4GBs?

To answer your question, I don't think an RWDL format exists. Given that normal DL disks command a high price, I can imagine the even higher cost a RW version would command. :(

And this is coming from someone with over a TB of storage to backup. :(

No. 9.4GB is for DVD-RAM. Buy a tape drive setup if you want huge amounts of space for backup purpose that's also rewritable.

I admit ignorance on the exact space of DL. Yes, it may not be economically viable.

So what is the most that a tape drive can hold? 20GB? More?
