I'm looking to jump to an X2 shortly, and was wondering if there are any apps that will take advantage of dual cores? I'm currently using dvdshrink and dvd decryptor.

Thanks

You still have the advantage of a responsive system while encoding video.

Isn't that all limited by your CD drive speeds?

I haven't found any limitations, but I have good dvd burners.

I think what the OP was asking is can he can copy two dvd's at once.
I had that in the back of my mind when I went to x2, as well.
To my knowledge the answer is no.
I still can't burn two dvd's at once. I haven't tried two instances of DVDShrink running at once. (I switched to DVDFAbExpress some time ago.)

This is what I was wondering (sorry about the bad wording!).

Anyway, at least I'll be able to start one running then go back to Warcraft or Battlefront with no problems. :D

Thats what I was thinking. How about the advantage of running DVD programs in the background and still being able to use your computer?

Yes, that's exactly what they mean.. you can run your DVD programs and still use your computer for other tasks at the same time.
