We bought a new DVD player here at work. IOMAGIC or something like that. Anyways after our hardware technician installed the drive I tested to make sure the drive was working so I tried loading the movie Matrix. It ran and loaded fine. Was pretty cool watching it. Anyways about a week later the PC crashed and our hardware guy reformatted the drive and reinstalled everything. Our hardware tech isnt the smartest guy in the world but I wont go there... :) Anyways now after reinstalling everything again I cant get Matrix to run anymore. I get the following message:

This disc is copy righted and cant be played in file mode? Then has a check mark by 1: USA,CANADA

Whats the deal here? It worked before wihtr NP and now I keep getting this meesage?

Using: Windows 95, PowerDVD

you are in file mode for power dvd... there's a button that looks like a disc or folder... you have to switch back to disc mode. in file mode, you can use it like media player and play mpgs... and it can see the data on the dvd, and thinks you're trying to read it (which is *technically* a no no). check the help file on it if you can find it.

there might be some hacked firmware somewhere for it that will make the hardware regionless as well.
