I apologize in advance if this is a basic question but I am totally confused.

I just purchased the GeForce6100SM-M (V1.0) and I am confused as to how to connect my DVD and DVD/CDROM drive.

I have 2 IDE hardrives, one 16x DL DVD and a DVD/CDROM drive. I can not figure out how to connect the one 16x DL DVD and a DVD/CDROM drive. It doesn't look like the motherboard has a place for them?

Do I have to buy a new Hard drive that is SATA and then use the IDE cable to connect the 2 drives? If so I didn't realize this and may need another solution.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

Thanks!

Most modern motherboards only have a single IDE channel, they expect you to have SATA hard drives.

So yes, you do need to come up with another solution.

DL SATA DVD burners are cheap, $35 or so & you're set (albeit with only one DVD drive).

I'm entirely SATA in my current machine it's honestly quite nice to be rid of ribbon cables.
