DVD/CD ROM questions

Just a couple of questions. Do they make a DVD/CD ROM drive that is bootable (conforms to the El Torrito spec.)? And, #2, do they make one that will read burned cd's? I have a Pioneer and a Shuttle DVD drive, and neither of them will recognize burned cd's -- factory cd's work fine in them however.

Don't now about the bootable part, but my Pioneer 10X slot load DVD reads burned CDR's and CDRW's just fine. I almost never use my CDRW to read CDR/CDRW as the Pioneer is faster than my Ricoh 7060 (40X vice 24X).
