dvd/cd packet writing

years ago when roxio wasnt roxio, the cd burning software that it was did packet writing. meaning the cdrw you used was like a fully rewritable drive. it would on the fly write rewrite and erase any data you thru on it.

well im in need of that again, well not me, the g/f needs something like that.

frankly i havent had a need for that for ages but i could use it too on occassion.

so wahts out there anymore that actually supports packet writing for cdrw and dvd rw mainly dvd rw.

I believe Roxio's intial offering, DirectCD, has been phased out and replaced with a similar packet writing program called Drag-to-Disc.

Nero's InCD also does PW, but I haven't used either of the two.

ahh that's what it was i couldnt for the life of me remember the name of it.... DirectCD.....
i'll look at InCD and see what it offers. i guess more or less i could do a multi session rw but that defeats the purpose of deleting stuff.
directcd used to be how i backed up all my stuff
