DVD CD .jpg

Is there any current or new DVD player coming down the pipe that will display my digital .jpg pictures from a CD disk.

I know Microsoft and Iomega has a player that will do this, but I do not know of any current DVD unit that will read and display my pictures on TV screen.

It only seem logical that with the rise in digital photo use and storage that can be placed on a CD, somebody (manufacture) would see this as a new market with great potential for sales of DVD players that can display digital photos on a home TV screen.

You could could easily do this but you would have to convert your .jpgs into .mpgs... I have done this before when you burn movies to mutliple cds I put a picture that says insert disc # at the end of each disc. Obviosuly this would not allow you to cycle through the pictures because there would already be a set time for each picture. The only other way I could think of would be to see if you could somehow set up a menu with the pics and throw in a generic 2 sec vid file to make it a valid dvd. Catch my Drift?
