DVD Burning

I have DVDxCopy and I could burn dvd's just fine until I got a new HD. Now when I try to burn a movie it reads the original dvd and when it asks to put in the blank dvd, it just goes straight to finalize and then ejects the dvd saying cannot copy the movie. What is up with that. Could anything have changed the dvdx software or the dvd burner itself? Thank you for any information that you can give me.

Is the new HD the boot drive or just a secondary drive? If it is the boot drive, did you do a fresh install or just clone the old one?

unmerited

You reliaze that some DVD's have copy protection .. this may be the case
If so, try using either DVD FAB Platinum or see www.slysoft.com
for their dvd copy programsm... using CLONEDVD and sometimes
also ANYDVD you can usually copy them

I also have DVDXCOPY but since the company that sold it was
forced to stop, there are no new updates for it ... dvd copy
methods are always changnig

The new HDD is the boot drive and I did do a fresh install of everything. I will try some or all of the ideas that you guys have given me. Thank you very much for the help.

It was the dvd's that made it mess up. I was trying to use memorex + dvd's and I tried a sony - dvd and it all worked great. Still does, but I didn't think that the media that you used made that much of a difference?
