You know it's funny, when other people hint at it (or even blatantly mention it), nobody cares. But this guy's gonna get singled out...

Heh i agree. I think it's funny how all the ATOT members use their DVD-R drives to burn 4.5gb worth of just any old legal data onto those discs, instead of movies ...

I've made photoshop files that are 500MB... Just think of what kind of things I'm doing with 3d animation and video editing. Any student in those fields know that you either get a DVD burner or an external hard drive, or you don't have any record of your work that you've done at school.

The 17 minute super fight in Matrix Revolutions took 100,000 GB of storage to be able to complete. DVD-Rs aren't the only way to save your work.

But it is one way to save your work if it is under 4.5gb

This is EXACTLY why I bought my burner.

The 5 YO wrecks the next disk, I will be out the $.875 instead of the 15 bucks.

Hell if he ruins just 10 disks then the drive has more than paid for itself.

How am i not correct? I'm considering buying a dvd-r just to burn archives of my photography. I already have 5 disks with my pictures on them, that i could fit on one.

Yes, well, short of dragging a quarter-million dollar file server too and from school everyday, I think DVD-Rs are my best bet. Aside from that, I doubt I'll be doing anything on the level of the Matrix from school, especially 17 minutes long, seeing as how it probably took them 2 years (literally) to render that, and I'd rather do things like "graduate".
