DVD Burning Software to use

I have one 8x +- DVD-RW and three 16x +- DVD-RW drives. I'd like to be able to burn movies with the three 16x drives simulataneously. Is nero my best bet, I know I have seen this option in there to burn with two drives, I am hoping it supports 3 as well.

Also, i want to be able to burn the whole movie at one time (ie extras of the movies included). I have an old version of 321 studios DVD XCOPY. This makes good clones of movies, but I want to make many many copies of just one disk, so I need to extract the movie to my Hard drive and copy from there instead of reading it from the disc each time...

Any advice on the best way of doing this would be nice. I have never been a movie or media guy.

Nero is NOT the best.

Clone DVD2 will be able to burn the DVD in the form of a 1 to 1 copy, as well as the standard compressed format. AnyDVD will remove all DVD protection found on the DVD. AnyDVD sits in the background and removes all the protection on the fly, while CloneDVD 2 Burns the dvd. You can burn it onto DVD, or save the files onto your computer so you can view the files with something like PowerDVD.

Google search and you will find their trials.

will I be able to burn 3 dvds at once with these or burn off the hard disk? The movies i burn don't have any copyright, so that's really not an issue.

I think your best bet would be to either

a-get several firewire enclosures and link them together and use nero to burn to multiple drives

b-get a duplicator card and small case and make your own duplicator.

with or without copy protection, make sure they will fit on a 4.7GB dvd+r/ -r

"will I be able to burn 3 dvds at once with these "
- Yes.

"burn off the hard disk"
- Yes.

Give the demo a try, you will love it.

Nero will:

1. Create your complilation just like normal.
2. Click the burn button at the top, choose the burn tab in the dialog.
3. Check the box that says "Use multiple recorders" and hit BURN button.
4. The choose recorders dialog box pops up, use the tab key or Ctrl to highlight and select the recorders you want and then hit ok.

I don't see any option to use multiple recorders in clonedvd 2? It burnt a copy perfectly in one drive from the iso image it made and stored on the HD. So since it looks like there is no multiple recording with clonedvd 2 i went to nero. When I tried to burn the same iso with multiple recorders with nero 6 ultra edition it first said i could only select 2 drives with my license and I had to unselect one. So I tried burning two at once and then after about 30 minutes the dvd on one drive failed the other one kept going in what seems to be an infinite loop.

It doesn't make sense too use multiple recorders if one at a time i burn at 5.5 minutes and with two or three will take more than 30. What should I do?

I'm using Nero 7.0.8.2 so I can't say what Nero 6 is like when burning multiple DVD's. It would be a good idea to have a machine that can handle the ability to burn to multiple DVD burners.

Some tips:

1. Have enough memory 1GB or more.
2. Burn slower 8x instead of 16x
3. Burn from the hard drive
4. Close other apps that would thrash memory or hard drive.
5. Use DVD+RW.....get an error just delete the disc try agian.

I have two burners and using DVD Decrypter I can start the software and burn to one drive then start another copy of the software and burn a different file (movie) to the other drive.

Works like a charm.

DVD Decrypter is a nice program too, but no matter which program i use, dvd decryptor, nero 6 ultra, or clonedvd2, whenever i try to burn 2 or more movies either both fail or one (usually one at around 58%). I tried slowing them down to 8x, but the same thing happens. I think it must be my cheap burners that are on in ata-33 mode, not ata-66. I tried burning with two drives on master on the two different ide channels but the same thing happens. Got any ideas? SHould i try overclocking my northbridge, maybe it's not fast enough. I am running raid 10 with 4 drives, i get 97 MB/s hard drive speed, so I don't think thats a problem.

I am able to burn 4 dvds at once now. I put all the burners to 4x speed in DVD Decryptor and they burn at 1x for some reason, it takes about 55 minutes. Son instead, I am able to get my 3 fast burners to all burn at 4x together, which takes 13 minutes to burn. So that is what I am going to do from now on, it is working pretty fast at that rate; 3 dvds in 13 minutes is good enough for me. I'll burn 4 at a time when I know I'll be away from the computer at 1x speed. Thanks for your help guys.
