I have a VIDEO_TS folder containing a custom DVD that someone else set up. I want to know how to get this onto a DVD so I can play it in my DVD player. I tried just burning a data disc with the VIDEO_TS folder on it, and that almost worked... It will play in WinDVD, but my DVD player hooked up to my TV freezes up when I try to go through the menus. Is there anything special I have to do to burn this?

Are you sure it's created right? The IFO's and such? Also some DVD players require the Audio_TS to be on the disc.

Has the DVD ever been burned before, so you know it works?

Yeah and make sure you do a DVD Video disc, not data

Notfred, what authoring software are you using? If it's Nero you will have to click on the drop down menu and choose VIDEO_DISC or something along those lines.

If you're using nero 6, doing the "Burn DVD Video" option automatically sets up the video_ts and disc structure- all you have to do is drag the files into the folder
