DVD Burning Issue

I've run probably 2000 DVD-R through my Iomega drive without more than 3 or 4 failures.

I ran out of -R media, and got some Verbatim +R on sale and have had almost every disc fail. Is it possible I got bad media? The drive is a multi-format drive, so it should be capable of writing +R data.

Here's the latest failure log from DVD Shrink/Nero, anyone here know what my problem is?

Oh dear, I just bought two 100-packs of Verbatim DVD+R, Made in Taiwan. Are these discs no longer good ones?

up...

I was able to burn on my laptop drive, so the media works, at least on it. Any other input based on the error log above as to what may be awry on my desktop?

That's a pretty old drive, and even when it was new it wasn't well-liked. Quote:

To sum it all up, this is the best we could say: 'Good CD-R writing quality and an excellent reader, but poor media compatibility and quality on DVD's'

You didn't get bad media. You simply have a drive that doesn't like the media you bought.

eh, to be fair, I think I paid $15 for it.

I got the disc burned on my laptop, so I guess I'll just do that until I get a new desktop. Laptop drive is only 8x though, so that sucks.

You might want to give ImgBurn a shot with that media. I was having a similar problem with some +R media and NERO but ImgBurn had no problems with it.

This has happen to me as well with another burning program. I used a different burning program and sure enough the dvd burned fine! I hate this picky problem.
