DVD Burning GURUS!!! DVD Burner help!

I just bought a Nu Technologies DVD burner, the DDW-082 and changed the bitsetting to DVD-ROM for burning DVD-R media. I tried copying a DVD that I have and playing it on my Sony DVP-S7000 and PS2 and they both DON'T work. When checking the media, it shows up with booktype of DVD-ROM.

I first used DVD Decrypter to copy it to my HD. Then I used DVD-shrink to burn it as a full backup (no compression, removal of Menus, etc.). Is there something that I'm NOT doing right or is there a better way to burn this? Please help! Thanks in advance!
 
I tried both DVD-R and DVD+R. Both of them didn't work on either player. They work fine on my computer using PowerDVD. I decided to just get a new DVD player and I made sure it was able to play all burned DVD formats. Thanks though, everyone!
