DVD Burning failing when finalizing disk, HELP!

I have been using Memorex DVD-R disks and burnt about 11 backups of my DVD's with no probs. I just tried using TDK DVD+R 4X disk and everyone errors at the end when finalizing. I have tried it at different speeds and made sure all apps were closed, I have the latest firmware update for my Plextor 798A. I am stumped. I can't imagine it would be becaause of the change of DVD -R to +R. Anyone seem this before or have any suggestions? It sucks making $2 coasters! THanks everyone. PS I apologize, t I have this posted in the video forum too. I am desperate because I am leaving for Scotland soon and want to take some backups with for my portable DVD player. I am using DVDcrypter & DVDShrink with the latedt Nero full version(legal).
 
maybe the discs aren't compatible with your burner. I think there are some web sites which say what media works well in specific burners. Maybe someone else has a link they can provide you with.
 
I email Plextor and here is their answer to my problem: Please update your motherboard bios and eide controller drivers from your motherboard mfgr. Also, try adding a jumper to the DMA pins on the back of
your drive, as some ide controllers work better in that mode.

Anyone agree with this?
