Alright, remember when CD Burners were new and just out on the market, like DVD Burners are now?
And you know how they were priced very high (couple hundred $$), like DVD Burners are now.

Here is my question:

How long do you thing it will be before DVD Burners are faster and cheaper (like $200 or less)?

Considering there was a DVD-R on sale in Hot Deals for $250 after rebate, I'd say by late summer there will be sub-$200 deals on DVD-Rs.. Expect there to be some standard finally emerging too.. All this DVD-R / DVD+RW / DVD-RW / DVD-RAM stuff is getting really annoying,

well, when cd-rs came out there was already a standard.

im not sure if there is a dvd standard yet. but i think there are a few dvd-r, dvd-rw, and dvd-ram?

not too sure. but before i go out and buy one, i want a standarized dvd burner.

i bought a 2x cdrw for $375.00

dvd-r/rw and dvd+r/rw are the two competing standards left. the way things are going, i think dvd-r/rw might win out, but who knows.
