DVD Burners: LITE-ON Model SHW-160P6S vs. NEC ND-3550A ?

Specs look comparable, any feedback on whether one is better than the other?

a lot of people love the 3550a. I jhave a liteon 1633s and really, i'm no expert and i guess there isnt all that much of a difference.

It's been a while since I used a LiteOn but I have the NEC 3550 and haven't found a thing wrong with it. I am perfectly satisfied with the burns and out of nearly 100 DVDs I haven' made one coaster yet. I've used Ritek, TDK, Sony, Memorex and some real generic media with no trouble at all.

Lite-On used to be the standard, but no more.

Go with NEC or BenQ.
