DVD Burner

I posted this question in the general forum but thought this might be a better place to put it.

I have an 800 mhz computer with between 384 - 512 mb of ram. Does anyone know if a dvd burner would work ok with this computer. I'm thinking it may be too slow, but not sure.

yes it will .... but let me give you a comparason... it usually takes me 18 mins to burn a DVD on a Barton 2500+. A friend installed a DVD burner on his 800 MHZ machine and it takes 1 hour 15 mins to do the same job
 
The manufacturer of both the hardware and software should list minimum and preferred requirements on their packages.
