Dvd Burner wont recognize ANY disc....

Hi, I need help with my dvd burner. I burnt a cp for my truck a few weeks ago and it worked perfectly. However now today I was trying to burn a dvd and the computer will not recognize any disc I put in the drive, cd, dvd, game, etc, tried pretty much every kind of disc I have. I have even tried updating the firmware, which it couldn't find a newer one, and uninstalling the drive/rebooting to no avail. I am currently running win 7 ultimate, and have this burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827118011 . Its just a bit over a year old but has only been in use for a couple of months. I've only burned maybe 8 dvd/cds with it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
