DVD Burner, wait or now?!?

Hello, guys, I need some suggestions from you guys.

I am looking forward to purchase a DVD RW (+ or - or +/-? That's a consideration for later, heh). Do you think it is ok time to purchase now? I cannot decide because of that a report about Lite-on's drive. I read an article about that it will be dual (+/-) drive cost less than 200 bucks. If it is not a rumor, then it will definately cause lowering in price of all DVD burners in the market. But the new Lite-on is cost 300 bucks (accoring to Pricewatch), and that price won't affect the market much.

So, do you believe Lite-on? Maybe it is a point of my question.
