dvd burner = no play my dvd's :(

ok so i already had a hard time putting this dvd burner into my shuttle so i finally got done and was happy than i went to the site and installed the firmware when i open up powerDVD to go play the movie it doesnt so i am like "wtf?" i cant get it to play this is my 1st time using powerdvd anyone give me some help ive tried to dvd's so far still no workie.
 
Did you try it before updating the firmware? Are you sure you used the correct firmware? Perhaps you should try going back to the original firmware. I look at it the same was as bios updates, unless I actualy have a problem that the update adresses, it's best to leave it alone..

trying this i dont think it's gonna work probably wont but what the heck.
 
good news i played some FEAR right after it started working outa no where 😀 kinda werd and makes me mad but than also makes me happy.
