DVD Burner / Mpeg / DIVX help.

Sorry if this is a repost, I did some searching and found nothing.

I made a consumer purchase and am now the proud owner of an 8x DVDRW. However, I have some files which are encoded in Divx (*.avi) and would like to burn it to a DVD so I can watch the files on my stand alone DVD Player.

"MySonic" came with the player but I believe this particular software package blows. Anyone recommend software and any tips you might have to get any type of media (*.avi, mpegs, *.rams, etc.) into watchable DVDs?

Thanks!

First off, it's going to look like crap and it's probably not worth the effort. That said, head over to DVDRhelp.com or doom9.org. They have guides that explain the process. Generally, you have to re-encode the video that that it's in the proper format and then convert the audio to 48khz.

I use AVI2DVD to do that.... doom9.org has some good guides as does afterdawn. BTW AVI2DVD is the same program as DVD2DVD and DVD2SVCD... just different profiles.
