As posted above, i have a OEM NEC 1300A 4xdvd burner. I got a 100 pack spindle of AVB 4x DVD-Rs and apparently, my burner doesnt consider them as real media. It knows theres a dvdr in the drive under my computer, but when i go to burn it says there is no Disc in the drive. I cant seem to find drivers anywhere, but if someone could please help, I would really apprieciate it. Thanks

DVD Burner Does Not Detect DVDs

yeah I have the newest one from what i can find, and it still doesnt work, this DVD compatibility is kinda stupid, and I wish I knew about it before i bought 100 blank DVDs, is there anything I can do, or does anyone know where i can find cracked FW or something thatll let it read either AVB discs or Imitation, cause thats all I have.

does it still detect regular pressed DVDs and plays said DVDs..?

then it is a firmware/media issue..just posted over in HD thread about getting known quality media and sticking to it ..I have an NEC1300A flashed with one of herrie's fws but haven't used it in quite awhile as I do find the Benq DW800A(+R only) produces the best results ..had a 811s that was speedy but when I ran kprobe on my DW's burns..well damnnear error-free unlike the 811s' burns on the same RicohJPNR01 media..lot of peeps on these forums/boards have to have the latest greatest fastest..but I've come to prefer quality ..as always..ymmv 🙂
p.s. did read your PM but Budman has already linked you to your probable resolution 🙂 also link to herries but no bitsetting(DW800A has it) which the 1100 has ..once updated..
