Doesn't matter. Just don't try doing the multiple burner function in Nero nor try going dvd to cd or vice versa. Same IDE channels is a no no for multiple optical drives.

Does that rule still apply? I know it used to be true that you tried to keep your optical drives on separate channels, but I think that I read somewhere that it's no longer necessary. Of course I do it out of habit, I have my 2 optical drives and 2 hard drives each on a separate channel using a PCI controller card, but I wonder if it really makes any difference anymore.
