dvd bruner posessed

While extracting chunks of generals which had exploded within, I now find my dvd burner. an aopen, to automatically eject anything and anytime I close the tray. Media, no media, makes not any difference. My question is: how do I fix it?

I highly doubt it's gonna be easily fixable.

Time to buy a new one i think.

this usually means the manual release pin is stuck on the cover hole, or inside
take off faceplate

I would take it back, I wouldn't want to stick a $30 DVD in it and have it explode to.
