What is the best software available to make backups of my dvd's with the menus?

Dvd X Copy probably. If you burn everything from a DVD though, you will probably end up using 2 DVD's as burnable DVDs hold less than regular DVD's you buy of the movie.

Does that make sense?

for backup to dvd.... http://www.dvdshrink.org is an awesome product considdering that its free... pinnable instant copy 7 generally produces better results for me though, but its not free...
