I have a dvd-r,-rw/+r,+rw drive, I made a backup of a dvd and it worked. After though, when I but other backup dvds in my dvd player, they wouldn't play. I used the same procedure as when I backed up the first dvd that worked. My movies only work on my computer. what could I have done wrong? My DVDs suport dvd-r which my dvd player supports. The brand of dvds i bought are vakoss which I bought at best buy. They are compatible with my dvd player. I used dvd shrink to burn the dvds.

Did you use the same media? What program are you useing? More info is needed. Be specific.

Never heard of that brand. Do you know someone with a DVD player that you can use to test the disc. Did you reauthor the disc or just compress the entire disc? Was it a single layer or dual layer disc? DVDShrink doesn't do any burning, it requires NERO or DVDDecrypter to burn, which did you use?

Tips:
1- Never buy off-brand media!
2- Update the firmware on your burner! (a large component of most firmware updates is media compatibility - so check and update as often as possible).
3- Update your ASPI layer software (DL from adaptec.com - which supplies that software to M$)

. Do that then try again.
