I have a Windows XP SP2 with WMP 10... DVD Audio doesnt work on WMP or Real Player.

It works fine on VLC Player when the audio device is changed from "A/52 over S/PDIF" to "5.1" or "Stereo" or any other option available.

It works fine on Power DVD as well.

I checked the WMP settings if I have selected the S/PDIF option but cant see that selected anywhere.

Not sure if this is helpful, but ff you're playing DVD-Audio as a high-fidelity source, WMP isn't a good high-resolution player device. It fools with the integrity of your audio data stream. Do a search on Google or Yahoo for "Windows DVD-Audio player" and you'll get a bunch of information and viable options. I'm pretty much a vinyl and Red Book guy myself :).
