I don't know too much about this stuff, so help me out here...

I need a new motherboard, and I have...
AMD XP 2100+
1.5 GB of DDR 333
160 GB Wester Digital HD with 8mb cache (not ATA)
PNY GeForce FX5200 Video Card, 128MB DDR
Sony DRU510A DVD-RW/+RW
Logitech Z-680 Speakers

I really want to be able to play DVD-Audio on my computer and SACD if that is possible.
I do a lot of video editing. I am also a music freak. I play a couple games every once in awhile, but I'm no gamer.
Are there any good motherboards that will help me play DVD-Audio, or do I also have to get a sound card?
If I'm getting a sound card too... I would like one with optical out capabilities.
Can somebody point me in which direction I should go?
Also, what's the deal with SACD on computers?

Thanks in advance!

Playback of SACD on a PC is currently not possible. It'd require special playback software (not available), as well as a new type of DVD drive (also not available).

DVD-Audio can be played back using software provided by Creative Labs or with WinDVD. In either case, it'll work only with a Creative Labs Audigy sound card.

This information was gathered from my own research (primarily via avsforums.com). I have no first-hand experience with DVD-Audio on PCs, so I can't offer any other advice aside from a recommendation to visit the HTPC forum at avsforums.com.

[... ugh. Edited to fixed grammatical errors!]

Cool, thanks!
avsforums is a good place. I learned a lot about HDTV's there. I didn't know they had computer stuff too. I guess I'll go check it out.
Thanks again.
