I was wondering if putting in a DVD-Rom and decoder card on my pentium 90 would work. I have an amd 900 but I heard that if you put a decoder card in my system, my geforce card would not work the way its suppose to, especially with games. Is this true and does the video card make any difference in viewing dvds?

i know that is you install software DVD player
that Hardware Decoder card won't function normal
maybe that is the problem

Chuckie....thanks, but I have not installed it yet. I just wanted to know some facts before I go buy the DVD-rom and decoder card. But if I do get it and it doesn't work, I will look into the software 😀 Thanks.

for a 900mhz tbird
you don't need Hardware Decorder card
it's faster enought
may as well save the money on Decorder card and get a faster DVD rom or some DVD movies
trust me, i have 700mhz Althon Classic with voodoo3 and windvd, it is crystal clear

I can get a software program to run my dvds??? Interesting, I did not know that. If thats the case I may just run and get a dvd-rom now 😀

lol
i hate to see the disappointment in you face when you find out all computer store close at 2:30AM in the morning.lol
